Refuels N.V. – Biomethane Station Data August 2023

* A total volume of 3,839 tonnes of Bio-CNG was dispensed from 12 public access refuelling stations in operation during August 2023. This is a 76.8% increase from 2,171 tonnes dispensed in August 2022 (8 stations)
* The average daily dispensed volume was a record 124 tonnes, compared to 122 and 123 tonnes dispensed per day in June and July 2023 respectively
* For the three-month period ending August 2023, a daily average of 1,426 vehicles refuelled at ReFuels’ Bio-CNG stations, compared to 881 vehicles for the three-month period ending August 2022
* During August, there were 12 operational public access stations in the Bio-CNG network. The Bio-CNG station at Corby in Northamptonshire (East Midlands) commenced operation in mid-July 2023. During August, Refuels commenced construction of the first station in Southeast England, located in Aylesford.

“Dispensed volumes in August were 76.8% higher than the same period last year. As this is the peak holiday month in the UK, dispensed volumes can be hard to predict, so we are pleased to see that we continue to deliver growth. After a month in which few new trucks were delivered to our customers, truck deliveries are ramping up again and there is increased activity among customers. We continuously run trials with potential new customers to build trust with fleets and to develop their belief in the technology, financial gains, and emissions savings of switching from diesel to Bio-CNG,” said Philip Fjeld, CEO of ReFuels.

Through the CNG Fuels brand, ReFuels operates 12 public access Bio-CNG stations on major trucking routes in the UK. The group expects at least four further stations to commence construction during the financial reporting year ending 31 March 2024, including the site in Aylesford.
